Warranty Policy

Helmets:

Ridex provides a warranty of 2 years (on Shell only) from the date of purchase/delivery on all helmets distributed through its authorized network against manufacturing defects.
All the Ridex Helmets are equipped with a Double D Ring Buckle to secure the helmet to its place. Ridex will not take any responsibility for the physical injuries received by its users during an accident for not securing the locking mechanism properly.

Jackets:

Ridex provides a warranty of 6 months (for Stitches) and 4 years (for Armours) from the date of purchase/delivery on all jackets distributed through its authorized network against manufacturing defects.
The warranty specifically covers only manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage caused by wear and tear, improper care, user errors, mishandling, misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations/repairs, accidental damage, or the degradation of the materials that occur after use.

CONDITIONS:

Ridex provides a warranty on every item it sells.

  • Warranty claim MUST be accompanied by the original tax invoice issued by an authorized reseller/dealer.
  • Any manufacturing defect on the Helmet has to be informed, and a warranty claim has to be raised within 12 days from the date of arrival.
  • You may approach the reseller or dealer for assistance or email the company directly at cutomercare@ridexhelmets.com
  • Products purchased under promotional offers, or discounts will not be covered under warranty.
  • Claims without valid invoices will not be entertained.
  • Products that are not purchased from an authorized reseller/dealer will not be eligible for a warranty claim.
  • Liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. Warranty claims can be processed only by our authorized dealer/reseller, or the company directly. The company retains the right to reject any claim at its sole discretion.

Limitations of warranty:

Warranty is limited to manufacturing defects only. Ridex cannot be held responsible for problems occurring due to the following reasons:

  • An accident or a fall ( Please note that any physical damage to the helmet/jacket or its parts will automatically render the warranty void )
  • Any customization or technical modification made by the dealer, third party, or user (paints, glue, stickers, screws, etc.)
  • Application of/contact with harmful chemical products (including methylated spirits on the visor treatments), or an intense heat source.
  • Damage of parts like D-rings, zippers, springs, buttons, stitching, trims, nuts & screws, etc. due to extensive usage, prolonged exposure to sunlight/water/dust and lack of maintenance and care
  • Usage under abnormal conditions (e.g. underwater)
  • Paint fade and colour degradation due to prolonged exposure to sunlight/UV light. Especially, high–viz colours are prone to faster UV degradation because of their nature.
  • Damage to paint due to usage.
  • Ageing/damage/cracks of inner fabrics/liner due to usage.
  • Damage to inner fabrics due to contact with water.
  • Helmet beading coming off due to usage.
  • Scratching and marks on the visor & external parts.
  • Damage to the UV coating on the visor due to usage.
  • Printed, flocked components and patches wearing out on usage.
  • Colour chipping on the EPS.
  • Helmet Accessories are not covered under warranty.
  • Anti-Fog screens and associated accessories are not covered by any warranty.

Also, Subjective concerns related to the use of the helmet such as comfort, size, fit, wind, whistling, padding or any other noise, aerodynamics, water ingress, etc. will not be considered as defects under warranty.

Cosmetic Damages:


Ridex Helmets makes all efforts to supply its re-sellers with only quality finished products. However, products at reseller outlets may sometimes suffer minor cosmetic damage due to market conditions. This kind of damage is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty. Customers are therefore advised to check the products thoroughly at the time of purchase at the sales point. Ridex Helmets cannot be held responsible for cosmetic
damages found after the purchase

Important Note:

Motorcycle helmets/protective riding apparel are prone to get soiled with sweat and dirt. We kindly request our customers to clean the product thoroughly before sending it to us for inspection. For hygiene purposes, products that are not cleaned will be charged Rs.500/- for professional cleaning before our staff will inspect them.
